It’s always exciting for me to pick out LEGO sets for my kids. With so much variety and detail to each box of LEGO’s I know that my kids will have hours and hours of fun playing with them. Each year I try and get my kids at least 1 new box of LEGO’s. This year it was hard to choose which set to go with because there are so many great ones to choose from. But after searching through the LEGO website for must have LEGO sets for boys and girls I narrowed it down to two sets that I just know my kids are going to love.

MINECRAFT LEGO SETS
Minecraft is huge in our home, not only with my son but also my daughter. They both love to play Minecraft so I figured the Minecraft LEGO sets would be a perfect gift. LEGO has a variety of Minecraft LEGO sets in different sizes. We went with the Minecraft Snow Hideout LEGO set which falls in the 8+ age range.
This LEGO set is perfect and includes 327 pieces which will help your child recreate the snow hideout found in the video game. With the pieces you will also get a Steve mini figure, a creeper and a Snow Golem. The shelter, which is the main creation in this set, comes with opening door, netherrack fireplace, crafting table, bucket, 2 buildable torches and snowy tree, plus transparent ice block elements and 2 brick-built coal ores. LEGO’s have always been made for both boys and girls, but I have to tell I really love the new sets that they have recently come out with to help target more girls. LEGOS are such a fun way to get your child’s creative mind working and they provide hours of entertainment. Last year we got my daughter Aubrey a LEGO Friends set and she loves that thing. In fact, after she built it she was so proud and instead of playing with it wanted to proudly display her creation on her shelve. So this year I knew I wanted to get something for her that she would love just as much, so we went with the LEGO Elves Azari and the Magical Bakery.
This set is so magical with all it’s colors and fun accessories. It’s a great set for girls who love anything whimsical or fairytale. The LEGO Elves Azari and the Magical Bakery includes 2 mini-doll figures, fox, lavafall, sliding oven, opening door and lots of baked goods. It features a lavafall with sliding oven and magical key reveal function, opening door, counter, table and stools, and a storage shelf. The set is made for kids ages 7-12 and comes with 324 pieces. Like the Minecraft LEGO sets, you can collect the Elves models where in each one you’ll find the 4 magical keys that will help send Emily Jones back home to the human world. This is such a fun set that many girls (and boys) are going to love.
