Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. It’s the one time of year where everyone can be goofy and dress up no matter what your age is. A couple of years ago we happened to  visit Walt Disney World during September, when they were kicking off the start of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. After researching the party I knew it was something my family and I would love to do. We bought tickets for opening night and had one of the most amazing times. I have to say that this was one of the of the most memorable trips to Disney World and a lot of that has to do with the fun we had during the party. You can read all about our experience HERE.

Disney Halloween Magic Kingdom

During Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, Magic Kingdom is transformed into a Halloween Extravaganza. The park is fully decorated in Halloween gear and all of the cast members are dressed up as well. During the party there will be fun and surprises around every corner. Kids (and Adults) are all encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes and trick or treat at various candy stops through-out the park. One of my favorite parts about the party is the Boo To You Halloween Parade which features the Headless Horseman, ghostly inhabitants from The Haunted Mansion and Disney characters dressed up in their best Halloween Costumes.

This year there will be some new characters joining in on the fun including Jack Skellington and Shelly from The Nightmare Before Christmas and Phineas and Ferb. Over in Tomorrowland the scarers from Monsters Inc., Mike and Sulley, will host their own Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball dance party on the Rockettower Plaza Stage. The stage has been completely transformed for this “monstrous” event.

Parties will take place from 7 p.m. – midnight on September 10, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27 & 29; October 3, 4, 6, 10, 11, 14, 17, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, 29 and 31; and November 1. Prices vary based on event night. Buy tickets starting at $59 USD now here.
