We’ve been using the Contour service by Cox for a little over three months now and it’s definitely been a welcomed addition to our household. It’s been wonderful having TV that’s personalized for each member of the family and has made our TV viewing experience much more enjoyable. So now that we are nearing the end of our trial I have been faced with the decision of whether or not I think Cox Contour is worth the extra money and if we should keep the service or not. Well the simple answer is YES. We are keeping the service and I couldn’t imagine going back to the way we used to watch TV.
We all live such busy lives so before it was really hard to keep up with all of our favorite shows. Since having Contour I haven’t missed out on any of my shows which makes me one happy mama! Before it seemed like all of my husbands shows and kids shows were on at the same time so my favorite shows would often take a back burner when it came to recording. Not anymore, since with Contour you can record up to 6 shows at once and store up to 1,000! Trust me I say that there have been many times over these past few months we have put that recording number to the test and had 6 different shows recording. It’s AWESOME! Plus even after recording so many shows I still have probably 80% of free DVR space. Before I would run out of space so quickly and have to go through my DVR list erasing shows and specials I had been waiting to watch. Well that’s a distant memory now that we have Contour.
One of the features that I didn’t think I would like so much is Pandora which you can connect your account through the Contour Guide. Just like with the TV channels your Pandora is also personalized for each user meaning Disney songs for the little ones, rock for my husband and some classic 80’s tunes for me!
I also really love the personalized TV which gives me recommendations and has opened up my eyes to many different shows I didn’t even know existed. Contour takes the shows that I like and finds other shows that it would recommend to me based on these shows I love to already watch. It’s been awesome. I’ve also been using the Contour App quite a lot which allows me to watch and access to over 90 different shows of live TV, plus tens of thousands of video on demand selections from my iPad. With the app I can also access shows I have already recorded through the Contour DVR.
Overall Cox Contour has been an amazing service and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has Cox service. In fact even if you don’t already have Cox Service you may definitely want to check and see if it’s available in your area. For more information on Cox Contour be sure to visit
