What do The Walking Dead, American Horror Story and Son’s of Anarchy all have in common? Well besides the fact that these are three of my favorite shows, I can record them and watch them all with my Cox Contour. These shows are not exactly kid friendly so I have to wait until my kids are fast asleep before I can even attempt to watch them. In the past I have missed shows or episodes because I was limited to how many shows I could record at once. With Contour I am able to record up to six shows all at once which means no more missed episodes.
I have been a loyal Cox Communications customer for nearly 14 years. I have always been happy. And with Cox always adding new features and expanding their services, there has never been a need to even consider going anywhere else. Recently I upgraded to Contour by Cox and it has been AMAZING! When I first started using it I was certain that my favorite feature would be the fact that I could record so many shows at once and be able to store up to 1,000 of these shows and movies at a time.
Don’t get me wrong that is a fantastic advantage to Contour but my favorite feature is definitely the recommendation engine which actually suggests new shows for me based on the shows that I have been watching. There are two ways that Contour recommends shows to me. First there is a list of recommendations on the guide but then I can also find shows when I am scanning through the Contour Guide. Whenever a see a Diamond (like pictured below) I know that it’s a show I should check out.
Now as much as I love my Contour my family loves it too! They each have their own profile which stores their favorite shows and adds recommendations so they can have the shows they want all to themselves. You can create up to 8 different profiles so no one will feel left out.
The Contour App is also a great perk with having Contour by Cox. You can watch over 90 channels of live TV and tens of thousands of video on demand selections from your iPad or tablet. You can also can set DVR recordings from your tablets and iPads, start watching shows and continue that same show on your television when they’re home.
