Twenty years ago I can distinctly remember heading to the theater to see the highly anticipated move release of Dumb and Dumber. I can remember being in the theater and laughing until my stomach hurt, the movie was just hilarious. I was really surprised that they had never come out with a second movie considering how successful the first one was. I guess the timing just wasn’t right, until now. Finally after twenty years of waiting my husband, two sisters and I headed to the theater again this time to watch Dumber and Dumber To.
The movie starts off with Harry Dunne visiting Lloyd Christmas in a psychiatric hospital. Apparently the shock of being rejected 20 years ago left Lloyd in a coma for 20 years. Well true to these two goof-balls behavior it was all a joke and Lloyd was just putting one over on Harry (for 20 years!) So after he get’s himself out of the hospital the guys basically pick up right where they left off. In the same apartment with a few familiar faces. In the apartment Harry informs Lloyd he needs a new kidney so they guys set off in search for one where they find out that Harry has a child he fathered 20 years ago.

So was it worth the wait? I think so. The movie will definitely have you laughing and if you liked the first movie you will definitely like this one. I loved the fact that they brought back old characters and jokes from the first movie. I absolutely love seeing Kathleen Turner! She really made this film even better. I would not recommend this movie to kids or preteens. It has a lot of adult content so please take this into consideration when buying tickets to the movie.
