Breakfast is one of my favorite meals to make. There is nothing better than waking up and surprising the kids to a plate of pancakes, eggs and hot maple syrup. I really try hard to make cute little shapes and letters but they never quite turn out the way they are suppose to.
Since we are HUGE Toy story fans this was a really fun treat for our family. The kids were really excited to get to help me make breakfast using our new Tasty Baker. You can bake cakes, muffins, brownies, cornbread, doughnuts and eggs, just to name a few, using your tasty baker. We decided the first thing we would make would be pancakes.
Once we took the unit out of the box, I used the small cleaning brush that it came with to clean the inside. After its clean you turn it on and set it to whatever temperature is needed. Inside the instruction book included in the box it tells you how long you need to preheat the baker and how long to cook the food.
Before we put the pancake mix in we slightly greased the plates with cooking spray. I let the kids fill the molds up and then we closed the lid for 4 minutes.
After the 4 minutes you simply open the lid and use a plastic spatula or knife to scoop out the Toy Story Pancakes. The pancakes just popped right out completely intact. The plates also stayed pretty clean and the excess pancakes wiped away very easily.
I wish I would have recorded the kids conversations while we made the pancakes! They had so much fun making and playing with eating their food.
There are so many different fun things that you could do with the Tasty Baker. We decided we wanted to make green aliens. We just added a few drops of green food coloring to the pancake batter and……
Green Aliens and a T-Rex! Needless to say the kids ate up every pancake we made. We had a blast making our pancakes and we can’t wait to make more things. I really wanted to try the eggs but we used the last ones for the pancakes.
There are several other Tasty Bakers to choose from also. I love the princess baker and the original…well really I love them all but these are my favorites. I will be checking back frequently because I would love to see a Christmas/Holiday themed Tasty Baker! These are a great addition to any family and well worth the purchase.
