It still amazes me that we live in one of the greatest countries in the world and yet there are millions of children that go hungry each day. In fact there are more than one in five children and more than one in four Latino children in the U.S. who may not know where their next meal is coming from. If you put that number together that equals out to be more than 15 million children! This number shocks me, but I know all too well that this is reality and there are millions of hungry kids all over this country that need our help.
This year ConAgra has partnered up with Kid President Robby Novak to help stop child hunger. As part of his 2016 Year of The Kid Campaign, Robby has released a video addressing child hunger in America and ways we can come together to help end it.
How Can You Help End Child Hunger
There are many ways that we can all come together and help end Childhood hunger. Things like volunteering at your local food pantry or donating food where donations are accepted are great ways to help out. But an even easier way that won’t cost you money or take up any of your time is to view or share the above video from Kid President to help raise awareness for child hunger. Each time this video is shared or viewed, ConAgra will donate the monetary equivalent of one meal to Feeding America, up to 100,000 meals.
Also when you are grocery shopping be on the lookout for the red push pin on specially marked packages of ConAgra’s food, like Marie Callender’s® and Hunt’s® products. These packages will have a special code inside which you can enter at www.childhungerendshere.com. Each code entered equals one meal.
