If you have read my blog for long, then you might have noticed just how much I love to watch movies. I love all types of movie genres but Marvel movies are typically at the top of my list. I have been anxiously awaiting the release of Thor: The Dark World since last year! I loved the first Thor and new this one would be even better than the first and I was right!
Whenever I got the news that I would be attending the Red Carpet Premiere of Thor: The Dark World at the El Capitan…operation FIND A THOR WORTHY dress went into order! I must have looked at a hundred different dresses until I found the perfect one online at simplydresses.com. I LOVED the dress and felt so amazing and confident wearing it down the red carpet.
My good friend Toni from JustStopScreaming.com was also wearing a dress from Simply Dresses.
As we walked down the red carpet I immediately recognized many familiar faces from the movie including Stan Lee, Anthony Hopkins, Jaime Alexander, Tom Hiddleston, and Thor himself…Chris Hemsworth. I loved seeing all of these stars take the time to stop, sign autographs and take pictures with their fans. All of the stars looked incredible especially Chris and Tom!!
Once inside the Theater we had a great view of the screen which was streaming the red carpet interviews live for everyone to see. This was a really fun thing to watch while waiting for the movie to start. Marvel streams these live interviews at each of their premieres so that fans can go online to watch for themselves and feel like they are there.
After the movie I bumped into a few celebrities including Debby Ryan from Disney’s Jessie. She was adorable and my daughter was so excited that I got a picture with her. (Thanks Coralie for snapping the picture)
Thor: The Dark World is incredible! So incredible, in fact, that I will be taking my husband and kids to see the movie again tonight. I know a lot of women aren’t normally into action movies, but even if this is the case you will still want to see THOR! It’s so good and will leave you on the edge of your seat the entire time. I will warn you though, there are a few parts in the movie that you may or may not want to bring tissues for.
Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. To defeat an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor sets upon his most dangerous and personal journey yet, forced into an alliance with the treacherous Loki to save not only his people and those he loves…but our universe itself.
Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” is directed by Alan Taylor, produced by Kevin Feige, p.g.a., from a story by Don Payne and Robert Rodat and screenplay by Christopher L.
