The HALO Bassinest Swivel Sleeper is one of my top picks for baby must haves for new moms. It’s unlike anything else you can find on the market. You see the HALO Bassinest isn’t your ordinary bassinet. It’s made specifically with new moms in mind, who want to safely and comfortably sleep as close to their baby as they can.

The HALO Bassinest is recommended for babies ages 0 to 5 months or up to 20 pounds. It’s pretty roomy so even closer to the 5 month mark your baby should still have plenty of room. It’s really easy to put together but super heavy so ladies make sure that you have someone to help you, if you are putting it together yourself.
The height of the Bassinest is adjustable so it can accommodate a variety of bed types. Our bed happens to be really high so I was worried about it reaching up to me, but I didn’t have any issues. In fact it could have went much higher if we needed. It does work best for beds that are between 22 to 34 inches tall.
The sidewall of the bassinest lowers making it easy for you to take the baby in and out of the bassinest. This sidewall can also be locked.
Perfect for New Moms
What makes this bassinet different than others is that it actually rotates 360 degrees which makes getting in and out of bed hassle-free.
I love this feature because you can easily push baby right next to you and then push him away from the bed with little effort. Plus the Bassinest glides so smoothly that the baby doesn’t wake up, which is very nice.
Because this bassinest rotates 360 degrees it makes it perfect for nursing mothers and mothers recovering from C-sections. I just so happen to be both of those and I can tell you that the first two weeks recovering from a c-section was rough and not having to get up and out of bed each time to feed the baby was a lifesaver. I really think this made my recovery time much shorter.
Now I want to talk about the SleepSack Swaddle. I will be honest, I didn’t think that I would use the SleepSack that much when I first got it. You see after working for 7 years in the NICU I am a pro at swaddling babies, so I figured that I would stick to my old swaddling ways.
