This morning my Facebook feed was filled with talk of a red cup. A RED CUP. Not about the many relevant issues going on in the United States right now but a plastic red cup. I’ll admit, I fed right into the gossip and spent a good chunk of my morning reading the many views of people being offended by this red cup and people being offended by the people offended of the red cup. It’s days like these I just want to hang up my hat and call it a day. Enough is enough.  People are so easily offended by the silliest of things these days and it consumes us to the point that, that’s all we can talk about. I say we just need to get over it and talk about the things that really matter and stop letting silly things like this divide us as a nation.

And YES. I am a Christian and Happily Celebrate Christmas.

And just because Starbucks changes their cup to an all red cup isn’t going to change that fact. I will still celebrate Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ no matter what. Every company in America can take Christ out of Christmas and I will still celebrate just as I have and will for the rest of my life. No one can take that away from me or you red cup or no red cup.

The Solution To the people offended by the Red Cup.

Don’t go to Starbucks. It’s simple. If you don’t like what they stand for find a company that does and support them. I am sure there are a lot of local businesses that could use the support. If you just can’t live without your Starbucks but you’re still offended by the red cup, then you can buy the coffee and pour it into a cup that your happy about. Problem solved.

What do you think of the Starbucks Red Cup Debate? I want to hear your thoughts either way, leave me a comment below.
