When I first started my blog funsavingmoney.net over 3 years ago I had no idea the places I would go, the people I would meet or the companies and brands that I would get to know first hand. This blog has been an amazing journey for me and has opened up doors that I would have never dreamt of going through before. Up until last October I had never gone anywhere by myself, but suddenly I was getting on an airplane, flying to the busiest airport in America and meeting an amazing set of women that shared similar interests as me. It was one of the best experiences of my life and from that moment on I was hooked, I knew that to take this blog to the next level I would need to put myself out there, insecurities and all. There are many benefits of blogging from working with some of my favorite companies, traveling and seeing places I would have never seen, but the best benefit is the connections and friendships that I have made with people all over the US and Canada.
I am so excited to be attending my first ever blogging conference, Bloggers Gone Coastal 2012 this Friday in Pensacola, Florida along with 33 other amazing women. For two days we will be staying at the beautiful Portofino Island Resort and participating in all sorts of fun activities as well as learning advice and tips about how we can all help each other grow our blogs even more. Some of the activities that we will be participating over the weekend include Blogger Olympics (Go Team Ladybug!), Ziplining, Tubing, Star Gazing at night on the beach and last but not least a beautiful early morning dolphin cruise.
