Since today is the first day of 2011, I have been trying to come up with some goals for the New Year. One goal that I would really like to see make a difference is trying to save money and cut costs on some unnecessary expenses. My husband and I LOVE our coffee and I usual make a pot of coffee every morning. Sometimes it all gets drank, but for the most part a lot of it gets wasted. My husband also has an addiction to Starbucks and will stop by the “convenience” store to get his daily fix which adds up very quickly.
Tassimo recently sent me the Bosch T20 Home Brewing System in Black. This amazing machine not only makes single cup servings of coffee but it can also make tea, hot cocoa, cappuccino, latte, crema, and espresso.
I have never owned a single cup brewer and I was very excited to be able to make one cup at a time, instead of wasting a whole pot of coffee. The brewer is very easy to set up and took me only about 5 minutes before I was able to start brewing my very first cup of home made cappuccino.Before I was able to start brewing I quickly cleaned the unit.
There is a small yellow disc that comes in the back of the unit. You can see it sticking out in the left side of the picture. First I filled the container up with cool water and then I placed the yellow disc into the top of the brewer. After I brewed 4 cups of water through the brewer the machine was ready to go.
The Tassimo Disc or T-Discs are used exclusively with the Tassimo brewers. Each T-Disc contains an expertly measured portion of coffee, tea, hot cocoa, etc. When you place the T-Disc into the top of the brewer it reads the unique bar code that is printed on the top of the label. This code basically tells the brewer what beverage size, brewing time and temperature is required to make the specific beverage.

I can’t tell you enough how much I love my new Tassimo T20 Brewer! Not only is it super convenient but my husband can get his daily Starbucks fix right from the comfort of our home at a fraction of the cost. My kids love hot cocoa so I am planning to purchase some of the hot cocoa T-Discs so they can enjoy our new home brewer as well.
