I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Soundfreaq. I received a Soundfreaq Sound Platform 2 to facilitate my review. Music is an important part of my everyday life. When I am cleaning, cooking, blogging or folding laundry you will find my iPhone right there with me playing my favorite songs. Music just makes doing these everyday tasks a much more pleasant experience. Unfortunately my iPhone speakers aren’t the greatest so I really have to have my phone right there with me in order to hear what song is playing, that is until last week when I received the Soundfreaq Sound Platform 2.
The Soundfreaq Sound Platform 2 is a wireless Bluetooth speaker that can be used with a variety of devices such as Apple, Android or Windows. Setup is extremely easy and took us less than 3 minutes to take it out of the box, plug it in and sync it up with my iPhone. The only wire that you need with this speaker is the one that plugs directly into the wall. If you really want to go the no wires route you can purchase a rechargeable battery and be completely wire free.
There are so many features about this speaker that I love but the one that stood out and impressed me the most (besides the sound) was the fact that you don’t have to take off the phones cover..AT ALL! This may not be a big deal to some people but with the Otterbox on my phone it is a huge inconvenience to have to take the cover all to dock my phone onto other speakers. With the Soundfreaq Sound Platform 2 there are no wires to connect the phone to the speaker. You can dock it on the front or walk around your house, the sound will still come from the speakers.
The first app that we tested out using the Soundfreaq was Pandora. The sound was amazing, so loud and best of all I could control the speaker right from my phone. So if I am in my room and I need to turn my favorite sound WAYYYY up I can turn it up without walking over to the speaker. I’ve also tested out other apps including Netflix, Youtube and some of our favorite games!
I love the fact that you can charge your phone while it’s docked on the Soundfreaq Sound Platform! There is a USB port right on the back which you can use to plug cord to your phone or other device. You can also listen to FM radio on the speaker which is great.
