A few months ago my daughter Aubrey got herself a brand new CD player. She LOVES this thing and plays her CD’s almost everyday. Normally this isn’t a big deal, but with a new baby coming in a just a few weeks I figured it was time to find a way to let her listen to her favorite songs but without the entire house hearing it as well. The kind folks at eKids sent us a couple of new gadgets, including headphones made just for kids, to help do just that and over the past week, our house has been a lot quieter and that’s a good thing.

In case your not familiar with eKids, they are a fun distributer of cutting edge electronics made just for kids. Headphones Made Just For Kids

This past week Aubrey got her first set of headphones which just so happens to feature The Descendants. Like most girls Aubrey’s age, this show is one of her favorites. We have probably watched it 10+ times since it came out last year. The Descendants Headphones are super cute and fit great on Aubrey’s head. They have soft padding on the top and also around the ears for added comfort. Around the ears there is a gold metal band and the Descendants logo inside of that. The cord is also made from rope style material which I really liked, especially for younger kids. The sound quality is great as well.

Aubrey absolutely LOVES these Descendant Headphones and she is able to listen to all her favorite shows, songs, games and more anywhere in the house. This is a bonus for both of us because I don’t have to worry about her waking up the new baby.

In addition to the Descendant Headphones, eKids also sent us an adorable Minion Speaker. Seriously, this thing can’t get any cuter and I am tempted to make it’s permanent home on my office desk. The Despicable Me Minion Bluetooth Speaker allows you to wirelessly stream music from your computer, tablet, smartphone, MP3 player, or other Bluetooth-enabled device. You can also use the aux-line in jack to play audio from devices that have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The sound from the speaker is really great. You can hear very clearly no matter what electronic you are using to stream music from. The Minion Bluetooth speaker is wireless and has a built in rechargeable battery and a LED light that lets you know when your speaker is on and charging. There is a cable that comes with the speaker that allows you to charge your minion and also to connect to an audio source if needed.

This is a such an cute speaker, but it’s also a really great speaker!
