*My family and I received guest passed to enjoy the exhibit and to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Living in Okahoma you don’t get the chance to see much sea life. Sure you will catch the occasional catfish, snapping turtle and even those nasty copperheads once in awhile but those aren’t much to look at. I have been to several aquariums over the past few years but one of my favorites happens to be right in the heart of Texas at the Grapevine Mills Mall in Grapevine Texas. The Sea Life Grapevine Aquarium is home to more than 5,000 different sea creatures. As soon as you walk through the blue doors you are transported to a underwater world that is both amazing and beautiful.

My family and I had a chance to visit the aquarium this past week while we were in Grapevine on Spring Break. There is so much to see and do while at Sea Life so I would recommend allowing yourself at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours to really take it all in. Before you start the self-guided tour, your party will have a chance to take some fun photos, which you can see at the end. These are really cute photos and not too expensive for a fun souvenir. Throughout the aquarium you will find 30 different exhibits each housing something unique. You will spot clown fish, jelly fish, sea turtles and even sharks!

Along with the exhibits there is lot’s of hands on activities to enjoy along the way. There are several areas where the kids can actually touch a real starfish or shark egg. My kids thought this part was fantastic. There is also plenty of opportunities to learn all about sea life as well. In every exhibit there are “Fin Facts” on the wall that tell important facts about the fish and other animals in the exhibit. I also loved the touch screens which allowed kids to get a real look inside of a shark and learn about jt’s anatomy and how they survive.

I think the Sea Life Grapevine Aquarium is such a fun place to visit. Not only did my kids enjoy it but us parents did as well.
