Working as a nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit was one of the best experiences of my life. I got to be there for new parents as they welcomed their new little baby into this world. I also got to be there to hold their hand through some of the most difficult trials a person could face. I loved my time as a nurse and even to this day, almost 8 years later, I still keep in contact with some of the families I helped to care for. I know first hand how much of a difference a nurse can make in a person’s life whether your 1 day old or 100 years old. Nurses matter.
Say Thank You To Nurses
To help thank nurses around the country Pampers Swaddlers, which is the #1 Choice of U.S. Hospitals, recent announced its second annual Pampers Swaddlers Thank You Nurses Awards. These awards were developed with the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN). The program, celebrates nurses and how much of an important role they play in a new parents and babies life. Today to honor these nurses, nominations for three care categories have been opened. These include Labor & Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Postpartum.
From now through January 27, 2017, Pampers invites parents, co-workers, family members and friends to say “thank you” to these amazing angels that we call nurses. You can do this by submitting a nurse nomination at www.pampers.com/thankyounurses
Winners of the Thank You Nurses Awards will will receive a one-year membership to AWHONN or NANN, including attendance at the respective organization’s annual convention, a scholarship, a P&G care package, and more. Also, in honor of these nurses, three additional Pampers Swaddlers scholarships will be made available through AWHONN to help nurses from underrepresented groups complete their studies toward a Master of Science in Nursing degree.
It only takes a few minutes to nominate your favorite nurse. It can be someone that helped you with the delivery of your baby, a nurse that helped you after you had your baby or a special nurse that helped your little one during their time in the NICU. It only takes a few minutes to nominate and say thank you to nurses. I promise you, it will mean the world to them. Nominate today!
