One of my favorite parts about summer is taking spontaneous road trips. There is nothing better than hitting the open road with your family and making memories that will last a lifetime. This past week we were lucky enough to hit the road in a 2015 Chevy Tahoe. Just looking at it from the outside, it’s really love at first sight. The size, the colors, the features all scream “DRIVE ME”!
The 2015 Chevy Tahoe has an all new exterior look that features inlaid doors, cock-pit like interior which provides greater comfort, functionality and a much quieter ride.
As a mom who drives around my my most precious cargo (AKA KIDS) one of the most important features I look for when purchasing a vehicle is safety. The Chevy Tahoe definitely gets good marks in that department. Check it out.
Safety Features:
- Standard Rearview Camera System
- Safety Alert Seat which vibrates when a potential crash threat is detected
- Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Change Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert
- Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning
- Front Seat Center Air bag (with front bucket seats)
- Standard Air bags with head-curtain side air bags & seat mounted side-impact airbags
- Adaptive Cruise Control with Crash Imminent Braking
- Standard StabiliTrak electronic stability control with rollover migration
The Tahoe is such a smooth and quiet ride. You literally feel like you are gliding along the highway and there is no one else on the road but you. Of course when your are on a road trip the awesome OnStar directions help make the the experience a whole lot less stressful.
Let’s talk about space for a minute. The 15′ Tahoe has some major space and plenty of room for a large family to spread out and not feel crunched together. You can actually fit up to 7 passengers, comfortably within the Tahoe.
The attention to detail with this vehicle is outstanding and Chevy has gone above and beyond to make sure each passenger is comfortable and has his/her own personal space and features. This includes side-door cup-holders
Personal Air and Heat Vents (Yes the kids LOVE this feature).
And last but not least personalized entertainment, with the DVD player.
The second and third row seats also have the heating option which is great for those cold winter days. During our week driving the SUV I was really impressed with how well the Tahoe gets with gas milage. We got about 18 miles a gallon in the Tahoe which really blew my husband away due to the size of the vehicle. He expected that the Tahoe would be a bit of a gas guzzler but it got outstanding gas milage.
Now as my husband and I were driving along, he noticed a fun little “secret” about the Tahoe that I just had to share with you guys. See what this secret is below.
Pretty neat, isn’t it! That’s a great place to hide your phone or even your wallet if you need too. A standard 2015 Chevy Tahoe will run you around $59,000, of course you can always add custom features such as the entertainment package and sunroof for a little extra (Well worth it, especially if you have kids).
I could go on and on about how much I LOVE the 2015 Chevy Tahoe but words can only take you so far. If your in the market for a new SUV or even thinking about it head to your local Chevy dealer and check out the new 2015 Chevy Tahoe’s for yourself. They are awesome and a great family vehicle.
