When I buy a cell phone I normally stick with the phone until it’s broken, falls apart or just won’t work anymore. In fact, I have only owned three cell phones my entire adult life. My most recent and the one I have had for the past 3+ years is the iPhone 3G, It’s been a great phone and has definitely served it’s purpose. However the one thing that I have had to deal with on almost a daily basis was dropped calls. This is one of the most annoying problems to have when you are in the middle of a call, and it never happens at a convenient time. It always seems to disconnect when I am on a very important call like the doctor’s office or someone else that’s not that easy to get back in touch with. I just figured that dropped calls was something that I was just going to have to deal with and it happens to everyone.
I’ve been using my Verizon Droid Incredible 4G LTE for a little over two months and it’s been an amazing phone. The hotspot, great picture quality, and fast speed have made my life so much easier but that’s not even the best thing about this phone. In the over two months since I have been using it (on a daily basis) I have not had one single dropped call! It’s been a great feeling to be on an important call and not have the anxiety that at any moment the call is going to cut out right in mid-sentence. So I know what you must be thinking, oh she just lives in an area with great reception. Well this may be true but since I have had the phone on the Verizon service I have traveled across the country to places like Atlanta and Tennessee and the coverage remained the same…no dropped calls, just fast reliable cell phone service. In fact my Droid even got service in the middle of the Smokey Mountains while ziplinning. (See picture below!)
Below is a map of the Network Coverage areas with Verizon that I found on their website. The red areas indicate their 3G coverage areas and the yellow dots are the 4G LTE Coverage. Pretty impressive isn’t it!
Just a reminder that in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month (October), Verizon is hosting a photo contest to share the message of hope. There are still a few days to enter your favorite photo symbolizing hope using your Verizon Wireless. For each submission, $1 will be donated to HopeLine from Verizon.
