Up until last month I thought that the iPhone was the creme De Le creme of cell phones, boy was I way off! Don’t get me wrong, the iPhone is a great phone and has served me well over the past few years but after having the chance to check out the new Droid Incredible 4G LTE by HTC it’s no longer my top pick. A few weeks ago I was asked to join the Verizon Ambassador Program and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity for me to break out of my shell and see what other options are available for phones as well as calling plans. As soon as I opened up my box and took my first look at the Droid Incredible 4G it was love at first sight, I knew this phone and I were going to become fast friends.
Of all the great features of this phone, my favorite so far has got to be the camera. For such a small, slender phone this 8.0 Mega-pixel camera takes incredible pictures. I have had a blast taking pictures of my kids, scenery, animals and strange photos of myself…you have to have fun sometimes. Below is a picture that I took of Aubrey on her first day of school! This one has got to be one of my favorites.
In addition to the great picture quality alone, you have the ability to edit your photo right from your phone. You can crop, adjust, add effects, etc. Below is a photo that I took of my eye, I cropped the edges and changed the color. Pretty amazing for a camera phone!
While the phone does take pictures both forward facing and rear facing, you get more features when it’s rear-facing. The 8MP Rear-facing camera has auto focus, LED Flash, BSI, f/2.2 and 28mm wide angle lens. Of course with my kids seeing me take so many photos with the new phone it was only a matter of time before they wanted to start taking pictures of their own. My son Jeremy took the photo below and every time he sees something unique he wants to take a photo.
