Sporting events are a pretty big deal in our family. It’s a time where friends and family can come together and cheer on their favorite teams. What makes game day so fun is that not everyone has the same favorite team, so our competitive spirit tends to come out. It can get pretty loud. We have lot’s of kids in the family and they love to join in on the fun. So for this upcoming game, I thought it would be a really fun idea to make them their very own Game Day Noise Makers.
DIY Noise Makers
These noise makers are super easy to make and you probably already have everything you need to make them. Here’s what you Need:
- Goldfish crackers
- empty toilet paper or paper towel rolls
- Wax Paper
- Ribbon
- Items to decorate the noise makers like: Markers, crayons, stickers, glue and glitter.
If you’re missing any of these items you can pick them up at your local Walmart. While I was there I grabbed a 30 ounce container of Goldfish crackers which were on rollback for $5.98! Not only did I have enough Goldfish crackers for the noise makers but I also had plenty for my guests to enjoy during the game.
How To Make Your Own Noise Makers
To make the noise maker first take your empty toilet roll paper and wrap it in wax paper.
Make sure you leave around 2-3 inches excess paper on each side of the roll.
Next tie one of the the sides off with a ribbon. This would be a great time to show your team spirit by using your favorite teams colors.
With one side secured with a ribbon add around 1/2 cup Goldfish crackers inside the toilet paper roll.
Tie the open side with ribbon.
Now is the fun part! Decorate the outside of your noise maker anyway you like. You can add stickers, color it with markers or even add a little sparkle with some glitter. Just Have fun with it.
Now that you have your noise makers you are all set for the party. This easy craft is simple for kids to do and a great way to get your kids involved in the family fun of game day. Plus it’s always fun to snack on a yummy treat like Goldfish crackers.
