Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. Whether it’s a short day trip or a week long Disney World trip, I am always planning our next adventure. The one thing that I have learned to deal with and the worst part of traveling to me is the motion sickness. I have gotten it since I was young and even now that I am 30 I still get queasy with even the shortest of trips. Normally I will just take an over the counter motion sickness drug but even though this helps some I still have the unwanted side effect of drowsiness. Hopefully with the new Sea-Band Products I wont have to worry about this issue anymore when I travel.
Sea -Band recently sent me a couple of different products to help with my motion sickness on my recent road trip. I was sent the Sea-Band Drug Free Nausea, Motion Sickness and Morning Sickness Band as well as a package of Ginger Gum.
The Band is a small acupressure band that you simply put around your wrist. It provides effect relief against motion sickness, nausea, cancer nausea, vomiting and morning sickness. Sea-Bands are suitable for both adults and children and come in two different sizes and a variety of colors. They are also machine washable so you can use them again and again.
Sea-Band All Natural Ginger Gum is great to combat travel, morning sickness and chemotherapy induced nausea. The ginger gum is safe, natural and gluten free. Each piece of gum provides 25 mg of ginger oil which is equivalent to 8g of fresh ginger root. I know I could have really used this gum when I was pregnant with both of my kids! I suffered from such bad morning sickness and having something to chew on that didn’t make me vomit would have been a life-saver.
I had the chance to use both products last week when we had to take a short car drive out of town. About 15 minutes before we left I slipped the band on my wrists. They are a little snug but actually pretty comfortable. The car ride was about an hour and 30 minutes both ways and at no point did I experience any nausea or motion sickness. It was such a great feeling to know that I can use an all natural product and get the results I need and want. Even though I didn’t need the gum I still wanted to see how it tasted, and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it tasted. It was sweet but not too sweet and the flavor lasted for quite awhile. Overall I was very pleased with both of these products and love the fact that they are natural and I can feel good about using them and giving them to my kids.
