I love having hardwood floors especially with two kids and our pets. Having hardwood floors makes cleanup easier and I don’t have to constantly worry about our carpet being ruined. When we first had our floors refinished a few years ago, one of my favorite parts of this process was being able to pick out a beautiful rug to go in my front room. The rug is truely the centerpiece of the room and just makes everything stand out.

Just recently my son Jeremy has been asking for a more “grown” up rug for his room. When I came across Mohawk Home Rugs I knew that I wouldn’t have to search long for the perfect rug. The Shimmer Shag Rug is made from 100% Olefin. It also has a rubber gripper bottom which extends the life of your rug and protects your hardwood floors. This rug is made in the U.S.A. and is stain and fade resistant which is a must when you have young kids or pets.

Jeremy’s room is a dark navy color so I wasnt really sure how this color would look but when it arrived, I knew it was going to look great. The rug came very quickly and was ready to be unrolled and placed on the floor right away. I barely got the thing undone before I had both kids and dogs rolling around on this very soft and comfortable rug.

The color is great and I know that if something does get accidentally spilled on it, I won’t have to worry about it discoloring the rug. This rug is also very soft, both of my kids love laying on it watching their movies and Jeremy loves to play his lego’s on his new rug. I am extremely impressed with the quality of Mohawk Home Rugs and know that with the way this rug is made it will last us a long time.
