We are a family that loves to play games but we often have a hard time finding something that Aubrey and Jeremy can both play, so I am always on the lookout. We were recently sent the Domino Build Game to review. The moment it arrived Aubrey was begging to open it and play the game. The Domino Build Game is great for kids ages 3-6 years old and they will have a blast while learning colors, numbers matching and motor skills.
This is a fantastic game because it incorporates so many things like building blocks, learning different colors and matching up different animals. The first time we played Aubrey didn’t quite get that she had to match the animals up, she just lined them up in a row. But after a few times she caught on great and had a lot of fun..beating her mom a few times.
The Game includes 16 Maxi Mega bloks, 30 domino tiles, 4 Animal Character Cards and 1 instruction sheet. There can up to 4 players during the game. To start the game all of the players pick out a character card, then everyone picks out 2 domino tiles. The point of the game is to match up the domino tiles and each time you match an domino tile the player gets to start building their animal with the Maxi Bloks.
The game is really a lot of fun and lasts just enough time to keep a younger child’s attention. Since we received the game last week Aubrey has asked to play at least twice a day. It’s a great way for her to have fun while learning patience and other fine motor skills. This game is perfect for both girls and boys and I recommend it to anyone with younger kids.
