When my kids get home from school one of the first things they want to do is get on my iPad and play games. With so many different apps for them to choose from it’s hard to know which ones are worth the money and which ones are not. When they have had a good week at school I will often reward them by letting them choose a new app for the week. This past week, they choose Little Luna – Big Talent.
Little Luna – Big Talent is Bastei Entertainment’s newest addition to their portfolio of mobile applications! It stars a bombardier beetles and her family. The app is specially designed for kids ages 3-8 and they can follow Little Luna as she shares the story of her amazing life as well as discovering her family’s shared special talent: Tooting! Yes you heard me right Tooting. You may not know this but Bombardier beetles actually use tooting as a defense mechanism in the wild. But for Luna and her family this special talent is a way for them to express themselves. Children can follow along with Luna as she introduces each of her family members and the unique ways in which they utilize their talents.
The app has several mini games like practicing toot target-shooting with dad, doing yoga with Luna and her mom, and matching musical melodies with Luna and her brothers.
Here is a quick overview of what you will discover while playing Little Luna – Big Talent.
Features of Little Luna, Big Talent include:
- Interactive storybook with games and more!
- Simple navigation for a smooth-running interface.
- Beautifully designed with delightful music to match.
- Timer for parents to monitor a child’s screen time.
- Designed for preschoolers and elementary school aged children.
- Narration in English, Mandarin Chinese, and German.
- No in-app purchases.
When I downloaded this game I never expected to hear the laughs that I did. My son and daughter laughed for a good 5 minutes when they started playing the game because they just couldn’t believe that the beetles were tooting. It was really pretty funny for me to watch them laugh so hard. Once they figured out that there was much more to the game than just funny toots they really got into the game. They loved the mini games especially the game where you have to toot along to the music. My kids have been playing this game for a few days now and I can definitely say it’s worth the money. They love this unique game and not just because it’s funny but because it’s cute and fun. Little Luna – Big Talent is available now for $2.99 in the iTunes App Store.
