Working in the intensive care unit as a nurse definitely had it’s challenges but one of the most frustrating things was when one of my patients spoke another language and their was an instant barrier of care. Everything you need to get started (besides the computer) comes inside this little box. All you have to do is connect your headset, install the software and language CD’s and activate your account with the card supplied in the box. After a few minutes it was time to get started. The screen walks you step by step on how to set everything up and get to your first lesson.
The program is surprisingly addicting and I found myself wanting to learn more and more. It is incredibly easy to follow and I love the headset that you speak into so that it can determine if you are pronouncing the words correctly, and it really works! My husband has also taken a interest in learning as much as he can and it’s fun to quiz each other back and forth.
Another great feature with Rosetta Stone is the Totale Mobile Companion that can be used with your iPhone or iPad by downloading the mobile companion from the iTunes store so that you can practice and improve anytime or anywhere!
You can also enhance your language abilities in the Rosetta World with online games and stories that are customized for your exact level in the Rosetta Course. You can also chat, speak and interact with others in your specific learned language. There are so many amazing ways with Rosetta Stone to learn a different language and have fun while your are doing it. We have had the program for about 3 weeks now and LOVE it! Although I am not all the way through yet, I have already learned how to have a simple conversation and actually understand what someone is saying to me in Spanish.
