The other day I was going through my hope chest. My hope chest stores all of my special memorabilia from over the years. I have old pictures in there from when I was in school, souvenirs from my bachelorette party and priceless keepsakes from when my kids were babies. But one of my most treasured items in the hope chest is my box of cards. Birthday cards, graduation cards, and wedding cards. I have kept almost all the cards given to me since I was a young girl. When I started collecting them, I had no idea how special these cards would become later on in life.
Keepsake That Will Last A Lifetime
You see I have cards from my grandma and dad who are no longer here. To see these cards and read them now that they are gone, is something that I will treasure for the rest of my life. In a way, reading these cards from 20+ years ago, makes me feel like they are still here with me. And when I look at these cards I can remember the exact moment that they were given to me. These are priceless memories that mean so much to me.
Now that I have kids of my own, I want them to be able to look back when they are my age and reminisce on amazing moments in their lives. So I have kept their cards and stored them away in a keepsake box for when they are older. One day they will look back, when I am no longer here, and be able to read cards that I have written especially for them.
My son is about to turn 11 in just a few days. Each year on their birthday I try to get them a “themed” type card so that they can remember what was the in-thing that specific year. This year, The © 2015 MARVEL Avengers is all the rage. So I wanted to give me son an ©2015 MARVEL Avengers card.
Hallmark has some incredible ©2015 MARVEL Avengers themed products and cards available at Walmart. My local Walmart had a special Hallmark display that featured Avengers in the card section.
There were lot’s of great themed gifts to go along with the ©2015 MARVEL Avengers Cards so be sure to keep a lookout. My son isn’t really into toys so to go with his card I am giving him a Fandango Gift Card to take him and his friends to see The ©2015 MARVEL Avengers in theaters. I know he will love this gift and look back on this card 20 years from now and remember how much fun his 11th birthday was.
