You might remember a few posts I wrote over the past few months on the HTC Incredible smart phone. As part of the Verizon Ambassador Program I was able to take this phone on a test drive for about three months and I loved every minute of it. I was a little sad to see my Incredible phone go but the sadness quickly went away upon arrival of the new Verizon HTC Droid DNA.
Upon first glance the first thing I noticed about the Droid DNA was it’s massive size. Immediately I started thinking of all the advantages of having such a large screen like watching movies, playing games, reading emails and actually being able to see all of the words. The screen size of the Droid DNA is 5 inches with a 1080 HD display which is by far the largest smart phone I’ve ever owned. With such a large screen it makes it easy and fun to do video chat in full HD.
I have only just begun to scratch the surface on what all this phone can do but here are a few of my favorite features that I have discovered so far!
Beats Audio: One of the things I like to do with my phone is listen to music. I will often carry my phone around from room to room blasting some of my favorite tunes. It makes cleaning a much enjoyable experience especially with the incredible sound that you get with the Droid DNA. The Beats Audio is built into the phone and amplifies the sound you get with not only music but with videos, pod-casts and video chat.
Amazing Camera-8MP Auto Focus Rear–Facing camera with Single–LED Flash + HTC ImageChip. I have gotten some great pics with this camera and captured some extra special moments of my kids.
Mobile Hotspot Capable-I think I mentioned with the HTC Droid Incredible just how much I LOVED the mobile Hotspot. This has been a lifesaver more than once. The hotspot with the Droid DNA supports up to 10 devices!
Wireless Charging Capability-I haven’t had a chance to check this one out because you have to purchase the charging pad but I think this is a great feature especially for people like me or tend to forget to charge my phone. With the wireless charging you just drop it on the pad on go, easy!
Amazing Battery Life-My schedule is often slammed packed with things to do all day and I can really only charge my phone at night. I need a phone with a long battery life and the Droid DNA has not disappointed so far. I’ve actually gone over a day without having to charge my phone and this is with me checking email periodically, surfing the web and playing games. Pretty impressive I think!
So far after only a week I am LOVING my new Droid DNA. It’s everything I have wanted in a smart phone and I can’t wait to get the learn more about the phone and all of it’s features. I will be continuing on as a Verizon Ambassador for the next three months and will be sharing with you all of my favorite and not so favorite features of the phone, so be sure to stay tuned.
