There are events in everyone’s life that they will remember forever. For instance everyone remembers their first kiss, the day you get married, your first job and the birth of your kids. These are all amazing events that will forever be ingrained in your memory. Last week thanks to Disney and Marvel, I experienced something that I most definitely will never forget…I attended the Hollywood Red Carpet Premiere of Iron Man 3!
After a long and very exciting day filled with surprises we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the big event. We only had a little over an hour to get ready for the premiere but I have to say that everyone did an amazing job and looked fantastic! On our way to the El Capitan Theater, where the premiere was held, I couldn’t help but notice how many people were filled in the streets just hoping to catch a of glance of their favorite celebrity. You could tell just how popular this movie is but the sheer excitement and energy from everyone in the crowd. As we all got out of the car and headed for the theater a red Audi convertible with about 6 police escorts drove right by us. It took everyone a minute to realize that it was Robert Downey Jr. who was driving the car! I wasn’t quick enough to get a good picture but here is a side view of the car and Robert himself.
The Red Carpet was CRAZY! I felt a mixture of adrenaline, excitement, anxiety, nervousness, and anticipation all rolled up together. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I can tell you walking that red carpet and seeing all of those amazing celebrities within arm’s length was incredible. I was really happy to see these celebrities taking the time to stop and say high to there fans, shake hands and sign autographs.
Just a few of the celebrities I caught a glance of a the premiere included Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Hemsworth, Jon Favreau, Peter Facinelli, and some of the kids from Good Luck Charlie. It was definitely a star studded event but it’s Iron Man so I wouldn’t have expected anything less.
So you might have wondered what one would wear to a red carpet event. Well after about two weeks of shopping and going back and forth I finally found a dress that I loved. My hair didn’t quite cooperate with me but honestly I was so excited to be there that I didn’t really care. This event was one of the highlights of my year and after almost a week I am still on cloud nine. It was SO MUCH FUN!
Next week I will be sharing with you my review on Iron Man 3 but I will go ahead and tell you that it was AMAZING! It’s probably one of my favorite Marvel films to date and you might be surprised to see that Tony Stark isn’t the only one who wears the Iron Man suit!
