I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

This August my son will enter the world known as middle school. This is a big year for him and he is in for lot’s of new and exciting changes. As a parent I want to make sure that I am there whenever he needs me but I also want to give him the space to grow up. There are things that I have gone through that I will be able to give him advice on. And then there are things like Cyber-bullying that I never experienced as a kid. We didn’t have the internet when I was his age so it’s hard for me to relate on subjects such as these.

June is Internet Safety Awareness Month! This is the perfect time to learn all about internet safety so that you can educate yourselves on the good side and the bad side of the internet. Throughout the month of June, Boys & Girls Club of America and Sprint are inviting parents to submit their top questions about cyberbullying, social networking, online privacy, mobile smarts and other cyber-related issues. The BGCA’s Cyber Safety Ambassadors which consists of a panel of Boys & Girls Club teens from around the world, will answer your questions and give you answers from a teens’ perspective on CyberSafeFutures.org.
