Homemade Maple Syrup Recipe

Earlier this year I started trying out new recipes and making things from scratch. Somethings have come out fantastic like my Old Fashioned Pancakes From Scratch Recipe. My whole family loves this recipe and honestly, it’s just as easy to make these pancakes from scratch as it is to make them from a box mix. This past week I made up a batch of pancakes and decided to try and make a homemade maple syrup recipe to go along with them. I was a little nervous about how it would taste, what the consistency would be like and how hard it was to make. I happy to report that it took me about 5 minutes total to make a enough syrup to last us a few weeks and it was seriously the most delicious maple syrup I have ever tasted. Once you make this you will never go back to store bought maple syrup again.

If you want a thicker sryup try adding more brown sugar in place of the white sugar and it should thicken it right up. Also if your trying to watch calories considering trying Splenda and Splenda Brown Sugar. If you like a buttery flavor you can add butter to the pan or other fun flavors like vanilla. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family has.
