There is one thing that I almost always have with me, my camera. I love taking pictures and you always have to be ready for that perfect photo opportunity, especially when you have kids. Since both of my kids see me taking so many photos they are naturally interested and want to join in on the fun. However, my camera isn’t one that can be replaced very easily and without hurting my pocket book. Playskool recently sent me their new Showcam kids camera to review.
The Showcam is the perfect digital camera for kids. It’s 2-in-1 which means you get both the digital camera and projector all in one. It’s perfect for kids ages 3 to 7 with it’s chunky size, soft grips and added strap kids can easily take pictures even with smaller hands.
Once your child takes a picture they can easily customize it with more than 50 silly effects like silly stamps and sounds, instant short stories and fun animations. All of these customizations are built right into the camera, no added software is needed! Once your done taking pictures you can flip the green switch and they can project their pictures too.
With this projector kids can star in their own show to share with friends and family! I think this would be perfect for Christmas morning. The first thing you do is take some pics in a well-lit area, then turn down the lights to get started! Stand about 2 feet from a wall or any other flat surface. Your child can choose from 3 different ways to make a show, an automatic slideshow with fun sound effects, choose from 5 different slideshow themes, or scroll through each photo on their own.
The ShowCam kids camera can store approximately 1000 photos without a memory stick. You won’t need any extra software to download and print your pics with your home computer you just need your own USB cable (not included). The ShowCam kids camera is currently available in stores and online. It comes in two different styles one for boys and one for girls. Walmart currently has it on sale for around $49.99.
