I continue to be amazed at the really unique toys that come out each year but the Little Live pets, Tweet Talking Bird is definitely one of my favorites. We received the Single bird but you can also purchase these in a set of two and a bird that comes inside his very own bird cage. The single bird is only $9.99 and for that price I think they would be a great affordable gift idea for any child on your list. These birds to require 2 AAA batteries which are not included and they are made for kids ages 5 and up.
