I think that most kids across the US are officially back in school. My two kids started back about 2 weeks ago and things are finally starting to feel a little bit more normal here. Of course the mornings are still hectic especially now that my kids are now at two different schools. So I have to come up with creative ways to manage our time and make sure everyone gets to where they need to go without being late. My other dilemma is what to pack my kids for lunch. The same old PB&J sandwich can get old really quick so I have to come up with ways to get my kids interested in their lunch so they will actually eat it.
One of their favorite treats, that they never seem to grow tired of is pudding and boy were they in for a treat when I found the new Hershey’s Ready to Eat Pudding cups! These cups are a quick lunch option or great for a quick after school snack as soon as the kids get home. If you have never had Hershey’s pudding, its so good. It’s a rich, creamy pudding made with real Hershey’s cocoa. Right now the September/October issue of ALL YOU Magazine has a $0.55 off coupon for Hershey’s Ready to Eat Pudding!
Little Pudding Buddies
I always try to leave a little note in my kids lunch’s to tell them I love them or to have a good day. But recently I got a great idea. Why not surprise my kids with a little friend (a pudding friend) in their lunch box. These little pudding buddies are so easy to make you just need a a Hershey’s Ready To Eat Pudding cup, glue, some goggly eyes and something for the hair. You could use ribbons, paper shreds, whatever you like.
The first thing you need to do is make sure your pudding cup is dry, that way the glue with stick. Next add a small dab of glue to the goggly eye and paste it to the front of the pudding cup. Do this again for the other eye.
Next you want to cover the top with “hair”. I used brown paper shreds that I bought by the gift bags. They come in all different colors so get creative. Glue the hair to the top of the pudding cup. Make sure you don’t cover the edges. You want to make sure you child can still open the pudding cup. Now let the little pudding buddy dry and he’s ready to go hide in your child’s lunch box.
Hershey’s Ready to Eat Pudding cups are available at Walmart in the dairy aisle. They come in the original Hershey’s chocolate flavor or S’mores. Both are delicious.
