Being a child of the 80’s was quite an experience with Hyper-Color T-shirts, Crimped Hair, Aqua-net and Madonna, if you lived during this time you know exactly what I’m talking about! I was pretty young during the 80’s so I didn’t quite get into the fashion of this period so when I found out we would be having a 80’s party during Brandcation the wheels in my head started to turn. I was beyond excited to be able to try and recreate an outfit from that era and looked to many old videos for inspiration. Believe it or not it’s a lot easier to find 80’s style clothing than you would think and not just in a second hand store. You know where I found my 80’s get-up? The mall!
The party was great and it was hilarious seeing 34 grown woman bring out their personalities through their outfits. Many of us were in the bathroom applying bright neon make-up, crimping hair and adding those very important accessories such as fishnet gloves.
Flashing Blinky Lights provided so many fun products that helped give our party that extra touch. They sent flashy martini glasses and one of my favorites was the flashing rings. Below is a picture of Jen From Life With Levi rockin her Flashing Blinky Light Rings! These were a huge hit among all the ladies and an even bigger hit with Aubrey when I brought some home.
