The release of Disney’s Oz The Great and Powerful is just right around the corner and I don’t know about you but I couldn’t be more excited! I have been waiting for this release for months now and it’s almost here. Disney’s Oz will hit theaters March 8th and includes some very talented actors including James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams and Zach Braff. Below is a sneak peek at Walt Disney Studios’ OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL Superbowl commercial which is set to air during this Sunday’s game. Disney’s Oz The Great and Powerful is directed by Sam Raimi and takes you on a journey of how the beloved Wizard character from the original Wizard of Oz came to be. Oscar Diggs, who is played by James Franco, is a small time magician who is not the most ethical of the bunch. One day he is whisked away from Dusty Kansas to the beautiful and vibrant Land of Oz. When he lands in Oz he thinks he has hit the jackpot and all of the fame and fortune are his for the taking, that is until he meets the three witches who are not so convinced that he is the great Wizard that everyone has been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its people, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great wizard but into a better man as well.
