I got some huge news in my email yesterday and I think there are going to be some VERY, very happy girls when they hear about it. Frozen 2 is happening! That’s right. Disney officially confirmed yesterday that the Frozen 2 movie is in the works. Here is the press release that I received so you can see if for yourself.

Winter weather ahead! Frozen 2 movie is officially in development at Walt Disney Animation Studios with directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee and producer Peter Del Vecho, the Oscar®-winning filmmaking team behind Frozen.
The news was announced at Disney’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders this morning by Bob Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company; John Lasseter, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios; and actor Josh Gad, who provides the voice of Olaf from Frozen.
“We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters,” said John Lasseter. “Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.”
There hasn’t been a release date or production details announced yet for the Frozen 2 movie, but rest assure that as soon as I hear something I will let you know! This is such exciting news because Frozen was such a hit with young girls (and many moms too). I don’t have any pictures or clips to show you from Frozen 2 but I will leave you with a special clip from the upcoming short film, Frozen Fever.
