Have I mentioned lately that I am a huge Tim Burton fan?! Well even if I wasn’t before tonight I definitely would be after seeing a sneek peak of his upcoming movie Frankenweenie, which is due to be released 10/5/12. Frankenweenie is really Tim Burton at his finest, with all the classic characters and feel of his previous animated movies. Frankenweenie is about a boy named Victor who is a little bit different from the other kids, he doesn’t have many friends except his faithful dog Sparky. They do everything together until one afternoon when Sparky gets hit by a car and dies. The boy is devastated so he comes up with a plan to bring Sparky back to life and of course as you can image things don’t turn out quite the way he expected.

I only got to see about 20 minutes of select footage from the film, but I will tell you it looks hilarious, suspenseful and pretty unique! There were numerous parts throughout the movie where everyone in the room was laughing. Even though the movie is about a dog that comes back to life, it doesn’t have that scary feel to it and I think it would be safe to say that it’s a pretty family friendly film. After the preview of the movie was shown everyone got a chance to ask a few questions to the producer of Frankenweenie Allison Abbate, who I might add was super friendly. During this interview I found out that the movie took about 3 years to complete and it was a movie that Tim Burton first thought of when he was in middle school. Many of the characters in the movie are based off of actual kids that he had known. A Lot of work goes into making an animated film like Frankenweenie and I think it’s going to be a hit.

I am so excited to see the entire film and not just bits and pieces because I really want to find out what happens in the end. Be sure to mark your calendars for October 5th, 2012 when Frankenweenie will release in theaters everywhere! Also for the latest updates on the movie you can Like Frankenweenie on Facebook.

Disclosure: Disney/Pixar are sponsoring my travel, accomodations and activities during the #BraveCarsLandEvent. All opinions expressed are 100% honest and my own.
