The deciding factor when we purchased our home was the size of the yard. We LOVED the idea of having a big backyard with plenty of room for the kids to run and play. Of course with a big lawn comes a lot of grass to mow. Over the years we have just used a traditional gas mower and with that came the awful fumes and loud noise that you can hear across the neighborhood. I knew that there had to be something better out there that got the job done but without all the annoyances of a gas mower. And there is! The EGO Power+ Lawn Mower.

Pro’s of EGO Power+
Very quiet. In fact when we first started it up, I thought that it wasn’t running right because it wasn’t very loud. It’s so nice for my husband to be able to mow the lawn and not wake up the baby.
Battery charges in 30 minutes. This is great because it gives you a chance to cool down, get a glass of water, etc. Once you’re ready to tackle the rest of the yard the battery will be fully charged.
LED Light allows you to mow in the dark. This is a great feature especially in the hot summer months. There is nothing worse than mowing in 100 degree heat but once it’s cool enough to mow, the sun is normally down. So with the LED light you can mow anytime you want. And since the mower is quiet you won’t be waking up your neighbors.
Lightweight and easy to push. We have been wanting to start letting our 12 year old son cut the grass but our gas mower is extremely hard to push. He has no issue with the EGO Power+ and pushes it across the yard with ease. Bonus for us, we know have an extra person to mow the lawn in our house.
Folds so it makes storing it easy. We don’t have a lot of room for lawn equipment so being able to fold up the EGO Power+ is awesome for us. It’s actually stored on our deck up against the wall out completely out of the way. Folding it up is very easy.
Con’s of EGO Power+
Battery only lasts 45 minutes. If you have a big yard then you will probably have to stop mowing to charge the battery at least once. We live on 1/4 of an acre and only have to stop and recharge once.
The Price. The EGO Power+ is a little bit on the pricy side but in my opinion it’s worth the extra cash you will spend. It’s definitely an investment worth making.
As you can see the Pro’s way out number the con’s and honestly I had a hard time coming up with any con. I know that people may be skeptical about how well an electric mower can really cut grass but I am telling you this mower is just as powerful, if not more, than my gas mower. I actually feel good about mowing my yard now, knowing that I am not polluting the air with all those extra gas fumes. Plus I am saving money by not having to purchase gas every time I mow.
I’ve been using the EGO Power+ lawn mower for over a month now and I continue to be in awe of how well it performs. It definitely makes me want to purchase more battery powered equipment in the future. This mower is the real deal and a great investment in my opinion.
