Today my kids are entering their first full week of school. The first few days were pretty hectic but thankfully we got through it intact. The biggest change this year is with my son who is now in the 5th grade. It’s really hard for me to even comprehend how fast the time has flown by and that this is his last year in elementary. However he feels totally different about this subject than I do. Like most kids he loves getting older and the freedom and independence that goes along with it. This year he has more of an interest in doing things all on his own like making his own breakfast, setting out his clothes and making after school snacks.

It’s important to me that I allow my son to become as independent as he can and making his own after school snacks is a great place to start.

Walmart has a wide selection of easy to make snacks including Bagel Bites and Delimex Taquito’s. Each of these products can easily be found in the frozen foods section at your local Walmart. Be sure to print out this Bagel Bites coupon and Delimex coupon to help save you some money.

Both the Bagel Bites and Delimex Taquitos are super easy to make. My son is 10 years old and is able to follow the instructions on the box and make each of them in the microwave all by himself.

The Bagel Bites are not only a delicious snack but they are made with real cheese, homemade sauce and have 0g trans fat.
