I grew up in a Southern Baptist family. If your not familiar with Southern Baptist’s they are pretty strict on certain things regarding religion and beliefs. For instance they don’t believe in dancing, woman as pastors or people being able to talk with spirits or the dead, just to name a few. Don’t get me wrong I had a wonderful childhood in church and some of my best memories come from this part of my life but as I grew up I started to question some of the things that I was taught as a child.

My grandmother (granny as we called her) was also a Southern Baptist. I was very close with her and was devastated when she suddenly passed away at the age of 62. She was the foundation of our family, the glue that held everyone together and it was one of the darkest and saddest times in my life. She has been gone for about 10 years but I still miss her terribly and not a day goes by that I don’t wish I could drive to her house and give her a big hug. Since her passing I have been fascinated with mediums or people or can talk to loved ones who have passed on like Sylvia Brown or John Edward.

A few months ago my best friend told me about this Spirit fair that was going to be held in our town and she wanted to go. Even though I had never really done anything like this before I was intrigued and wanted to found out more. When we went inside the conference area I looked around the room and thought to myself “these people are wack jobs, what in the world was I thinking coming here”? I try to keep an open mind about things but I felt totally out of my element and very uncomfortable seeing people chanting and rubbing crystal skulls. My Southern Baptist side came out and told me this was BAD and I needed to find the nearest exit as soon as possible, but then I saw a sign that said Angel Messages and was drawn into a room with about 150 other people.

The session started off with a normal looking women walking up to the front of the room explaining that she has an angel guide named Tidbit who allows her to receive messages from people, pets or angels on the other side. I can’t tell you how fast my heart was beating but as soon as she started to ask everyone to pray a sense of peace came over me and I felt comfortable. Everyone was given a small piece of paper called a billet and asked to write a specific message to your loved one or a question for your angel. Then you are to write the name of your loved one on the top of the paper and sign your name. They then collect the “billets” and put them all in a wooden box. Cyndi (the medium) then places tape over her eyes and ties a blindfold over them as well. As she stands in front of the box she starts to touch the papers and rubs them with her hands and forehead very quickly, she can’t see what’s on the paper because her eyes are taped and blindfolded. As she quickly rubs the papers she starts to receive pictures or messages in her mind and names things off like ” I am seeing a starry sky and the name Jessica”. A girl then stood up and said my name is Jessica Star. It was incredible and I sat in amazement as she would give people these messages from their loved ones. She was dead on with everything she said to people, it was incredible and nothing like I had ever seen before.  Since there are so many people in the room not everyone gets a message and unfortunately at this session I didn’t either.

I left the fair asking so many questions and trying to figure how she did it. How could she know all of this information about these people and their lives and family members, it was crazy! So when I found out Cyndy was coming back in town I knew I had to go again, so yesterday after I got back into town my whole family including my husband headed to see her. I knew in my head what I was going to ask on my billet. Before I had my two kids Aubrey and Jeremy I suffered 2 miscarriages in a row. My first miscarriage was at 8-9 weeks and my second was at 14 weeks. Since I had two miscarriages and the second was so far along they tested the babies chromosomes to see if there were any abnormalities. In this test I found out that he was a healthy baby boy, however I always wondered what the first baby was. Here is what my sheet of paper said.

Granny-Janice Ferrill,
1.Are you with the 2 babies that I miscarried.
2.Was the first baby I miscarried a boy or a girl?
Signed Mellisa Tyler Swigart

I also signed my sheet and placed the names of my Uncle Robert Lee at the top of the paper. About half way into the readings Cyndy lifted her arms in the air and said I see an older woman holding two babies in each of her arms. I knew right then and there that she was talking about me. So I stood up and said that is for me. She then said I am seeing the name Tyler. I stood up again and said “my name is Mellisa Tyler Swigart” (My maiden name is Tyler). She then started directing the questions towards me and said I am seeing Will Ferrill, does this mean anything to you? I then said yes my grandmother’s name is Janice Ferrill. She said she wants you to know that yes she has these two babies with her and that one is a boy and one is a girl. I lost it! I was in shock at the things she was directing to me. She then said she wants you to let go of the guilt and know that they are all together and happy.

Of course by this time I am a blubbering mess. I don’t know if I was crying because I was happy, freaked out, sad or what. As I am crying and missing half of what she is saying to me she starts to say that she sees a man and her middle name Lee and the first name Robert and asked if this meant anything to me? I told her “yes that my uncles name is Robert Lee. She said he wants you to know that he loves you very much.

Now I know what alot of you are going to think, “you wrote this information on a piece of paper and she read it that’s how she knew your information”. I too would think this if I weren’t there but there is absolutely no way that she could have read these papers. Not only were her eyes completely closed, taped and blindfolded but she was rummaging through all of the papers so fast that it’s not possible to read that much information in a nano second. After going to see Cyndy I honestly believe that there are people blessed with the abilities to bring peace to others through messages. Below is a 10 minute video that I found on You Tube of a angel message reading. This was not the one that I went to but I just wanted to show you how she reads the messages.

So what do you think? Have you ever had an experience like this? Would you ever see a medium or someone who can talk with people on the other side? I would LOVE to hear your thoughts, opinions or comments on this subject.
