Dogs are the most loyal creatures that walk this planet. They are sweet, snuggly and the perfect companion. No matter what kind of day you are having, whether it’s horrible, great or sad. They will be waiting for you at the door with their tail wagging away, eagerly awaiting to jump in your arms. I have always been a dog lover. To me, no other pet can compare. For the past 8 years we have been the proud owners of Abby and Willow. Abby and Willow are a pair of Shih-tuz’s. They are a very special part of our family and I just can’t imagine life without the both of them. They make each day special and full of love. That’s why I only feel it’s right to make sure that as they get older I continue to make sure they have the right food to help keep them healthy and strong. So on a recent trip to Pet Smart we decided to pick up a bag of Purina® Pro Plan®.
Pet Smart has a huge variety of Purina® Pro Plan® flavors. Since there are so many choices, our family decided to let our youngest dog Willow tag along to help pick one out. Willow always has a blast at Pet Smart, especially in the toy aisle. She’s like a kid in a toy store, it was hard to get her away from all the squeaky toys. Here are just a few pictures from our shopping trip.
After our trip to PetSmart I decided to make a fun DIY Dog Food Container to hold Abby and Willow’s new Purina® Pro Plan® Dog Food. We have a smaller kitchen so having a bag of dog food on the counter or even the floor, isn’t really an option. This DIY Dog food container is super easy to make and because it’s smaller and cute, you can easily set it on the counter or even on top of the fridge.
DIY Dog Food Container
What Do You Need
1 Large Plastic Container
Spray Paint (Any Color)
Fun Stickers and other decorations
Plastic Scoop
Purina® Pro Plan® Dog Food
How To Make a Dog Food Container
1. Take all of the labels or stickers off of your plastic container. You can use any type of container just make sure you wash out the inside. We used a empty protein supplement container.
2. Next make sure the container is fully dried if you washed it. In a well ventilated area, coat the entire container with spray paint. Let this dry and spray it again all over. Let fully dry for a few hours.
3. After your container is fully dry, add some fun decorations to the outside. You can pick up stickers or stencils at the dollar store. Have fun with this and put as many stickers or embellishments as you like.
4. Now fill your container up with Purina® Pro Plan® Dog Food. Add a Plastic Scoop inside for easy serving.
