Lately I have been hearing a lot about natural disasters and disaster preparedness and the things that people are doing to prepare themselves. Now while I don’t expect to have to know how to survive a zombie apocalypse anytime soon I am realistic to the fact that disasters happen when you least expect it. If you are not prepared before the time comes, what will you do? My husband and I have talked about this subject a lot over the past few months and have started to secure ourselves a stockpile of must have essentials in case we are ever caught in a emergency situation.

There are 3 things that every human on Earth needs to survive: Food, Air and Water. We often take these 3 things for granted because they come so easily. It’s nice to just be able to run to the grocery store and grab a few things to eat for dinner or turn on your faucet for a nice glass of water. But what if these things weren’t available and you have to find food on your own, if your caught in a snowstorm, tornado or other major disaster getting to your local grocery store (if it’s still there) may not be that easy. We have a few items stored away for emergencies and one of these major essentials is the  60 Serving Wise Food Storage Entree Bucket. This bucket of food contains enough food for 2 servings per day up to 2 weeks for my family of two adults and two young children.

Inside the bucket you will find:

  • Stroganoff (8)
  • Creamy Chicken Pasta (8)
  • Cheesy Macaroni (8)
  • Chicken A la King (8)
  • Chicken Teriakyi (8)
  • Southwest Beans and Rice (8)
  • Beef Teriakyi and Rice (8)
  • Cheesy Lasagna (8)

All of the food comes freeze dried and in individual packets. The bucket, with all of the food inside, weighs just 11 pounds making it very lightweight and easy to transport in case you need to leave your home. The Wise Food Products are perfect for long term food storage because they can be stored in your home for up to 25 years. The only thing you need to prepare these meals is water, perferably hot water but in the case of emergency cold water will work fine to.

Below is a short video showing how you prepare these meals and how easy they are to use.

If you are looking to start a stockpile of emergency supplies, which I highly recommend, consider checking out Wise Food Storage and Berkey Filter Systems.

Buy It: You can purchase the 60 Serving Wise Food Storage Bucket online for $119.

Disclosure: I received the above product in order to facilitate my review. However all opinions expressed are based on my own honest experience.
