When you have an eight year old who can finish an entire book that is 217 pages long in about an hour, then you know it has got to be a good book. My son has been a huge fan of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book series from the very beginning. In fact, I credit this series to making my son into the incredible reader that he is. He patiently waits for each new book to come out and has been marking his calender for the release of the newest Jeff Kinney book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Third Wheel.
The Third Wheel arrived at our doorstep last week and I am not exaggerating when I say that it was read in about an hour. I think one of the reasons that the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Series is such a hit among kids is that it is experiences that they go through themselves and they can relate. After my son read the book I asked him what he thought about it and this is what he said:
“I loved it. It’s a great book that’s funny from beginning to the end. My favorite part is when Greg goes to the dance with the girl and it doesn’t go very good.”
Diary of a Wimpy Kids: The Third Wheel is now available online and in stores for around $12. Keep your eyes out for sales because I have seen this book advertised for as low as $2 on Amazon just yesterday.
