This particular April day started off like any other…oh who I am kidding. A day in Hollywood is NEVER ordinary especially if you are on Disney press trip. When I woke up I had butterflies in my stomach because I knew something was going to happen on this sunny day in April, I just didn’t know what. I must have went through 10 different outfits before I decided to wear one of my cute tops and boots. But as I started to walk down from my hotel room, I panicked! I not only had boots on but these boots had heels and I suddenly pictured myself walking through Disney World all day in excruciating pain, so I made the decision to go back to the room and change. This decision would haunt me. Because as I would soon find out we were all on our way to the set of Captain America 2: The Winter Solider to meet Chris Evans, Mr. Captain America himself and I was wearing MOM JEANS.
So what does one wear when they are going to meet one of Hollywood’s most handsome super heroes? Well if your me, and have no idea your about to be in the same room with such a hunk, you have on your favorite Marvel T-shirt, jeans and tennis shoes. (Slaps forehead). I mean of all days to decide to wear something comfortable over something cute. I did at least have my hair and make-up fixed so I wasn’t a complete mess but come one…mom jeans! After I got onto the set I was in such awe that I could have been wearing a moo-moo and been completely content. At that moment, I decided to make the best of the situation and OWN those Mom Jeans.
The set was absolutely amazing and honestly I was really surprised at how filming goes down. Everything, at least in scenes we saw filming, were shot on a sound stage. The particular scene that we were able to watch during filming was with Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Frank Grillo in the Quinjet. It’s crazy because this particular scene is only about 30 seconds long but it took hours to shoot. The cast and crew were pretty hilarious and cut up a few times but overall they were pretty serious about their scenes. Oh and did I mention that I got to go in the Quinjet! Ya, it was pretty awesome but not as awesome as meeting Chris Evans. We did get a chance to see Scar Jo but she was pretty busy so we didn’t get to talk to her this time but I will tell you I was really shocked to see how tiny she is in real life. She is around the same height as me which is about 5’3″. Overall it was an amazing experience, Mom Jeans and all and one that I will never forget. After the long day of shooting, Chris Evans came over IN HIS CAPTAIN AMERICA SUIT!!! and took some photo with us.
One of the hardest secrets that I have ever had to keep was keeping quiet about being on the set of Captain America 2: The Winter Solider. I mean it’s not everyday that you get to be in the same room, watching an actual scene from a movie that you know is going to be box office gold.
Below is a new trailer from Captain America 2: The Winter Solider which will open in theaters April 4th. The first 30 seconds or so is the scenes which we saw filmed. Be sure to check it out!

*Thanks so much to Disney and Marvel for flying me out to Hollywood, giving me a place to stay and feeding me while in town. But most of all thanks for the awesome opportunity to meet Chris Evans!
