Let me first say if your looking for a low fat, healthy recipe than this is definitely not the food choice for you. However if your looking for a delicious, mouth-watering, lick your fingers meal than you’ve come to the right place. Chicken Fried Steak is one of my favorite foods. It’s easy to make and even easier to eat.

Here’s what you need:
1 1/2 Pounds of Cubed Steak (About 4 Steaks)
Salt/Pepper
1 Egg
1/2 Cup Milk
1 1/2 Cups of All Purpose Flour
1 Tablespoon of Seasoning Salt
1/2 tsp of Garlic Salt
Vegetable Oil

First things first! Take that steak and make sure it’s nice and tender by pounding on it with a meat mallet until it’s nice and thin. Sprinkle a little salt onto the top of the steak. Now in a large frying pan add the oil, you want to add enough to cover the entire bottom at least 1/2 inch. Heat it up!

In a medium bowl, combine the egg and milk and mix well. In a large bowl take the flour, 1 tsp of salt, 1/2 tsp of pepper, garlic salt, and seasoning salt and combine together. Mix well.

Now take your cubed steak and coat entirely with the egg mixture.

It’s finally time to give it a flour coat. Make sure you press the flour mixture into the cube steak well. You want it completely covered thickly to make sure it stays when you fry it up.

To make sure that your oil is ready add a pinch of your flour mixture to see if it sizzles. If it does, add your cube steak 2 pieces at a time.

Fry each side for about 4-5 minutes, until it’s a golden brown color. When it’s done place the steak onto a paper-towel covered plate to get rid of some of the excess grease. Serve hot with Mashed Potatoes, Gravy and your favorite vegetable because you have to make this meal a little healthy…right?! Enjoy!
