national reading day today

Today is National Reading Day. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate this day than to read a book. My kids both have a love of reading and I think a lot of it has to do with making reading fun for them. We started reading to our kids when they couldn’t even walk. They grew up with books filled with fun stories and colorful pages. Reading doesn’t have to be something that kids think of as something they have to do, but rather something they want to do.

Reading Is Fun

Reading is not only something that will help your child but it’s an activity that can also be fun. Reading sparks the imagination. This day of reading we decided to celebrate and create fun family story books that our children can read over and over again. You can create a story book of your own too. All you need is some paper, crayons, pencils, and a little bit of imagination. In your story book tell have your child write or draw about the things they love most about their family.
