A lot of things have changed since my daughter Aubrey was in a car seat. For instance, we turned her around to forward facing at 1 year, which was the recommended age at the time. However, since then the American Academy of Pediatrics has now changed that recommendation to rear-facing until 2 years old. And here in Oklahoma it’s actually a law that kids under the age of 2 have to be rear-facing. So with this in mind I set out to find the perfect Convertible car seat and I found it with the Britax Advocate ClickTight ARB Convertible car seat.
Britax Advocate Clicktight Installation is Easy
Installing the Britax Advocate ClickTight ARB Convertible Car Seat was a snap! Literally. The car seat is fully assembled (except the Anti-Rebound Bar) right out of the box and ready to be installed in your vehicle. Upon first glance I was extremely impressed with how cushy and soft the seat was. They really take their time to make sure that not only is this seat safe but it’s a seat your infant or toddler will be comfortable riding in. Once I had the car seat out of the box and ready to install it was super easy.
Clicktight ARB (Anti-Rebound Bar)
Before you install your car seat you’ll need to install the anti-rebound bar. This is super easy and the instructions show you exactly how to do it. Now the anti-rebound bar isn’t something you normally see on a car seat but it’s something that I am so grateful for. I think every child should have one of these on their rear facing car seats. The anti-rebound bar is their to prevent rear facing car seats from rebounding and keeping your child safe and secure by limiting motion.
Shield your Child From the Most Dangerous Crashes
So I mentioned earlier in my review just how soft and comfortable this Britax car seat is. Well Britax actually designed it this way! The Advocate ClickTight ARB has 3 strong layers of side energy absorption, an energy-absorbing shell, foam-lined headrest and external cushions all which keep your baby safe in the event of car crash.
Readjusting the Advocate Clicktight ARB
We all know just how fast babies grow. And it can be such a pain to have to readjust the car seat harness every few months or even weeks to accommodate the growth. This is one of my favorite features of the Advocate Clicktight ARB. It has a quick adjust 14 position harness and 2 position buckle. This feature allows you to easily move the harness and buckle to a comfortable and secure position as your child grows. I couldn’t believe just how quick and easy this was. And as your child grows and you need to adjust the reclining position you will have 7 different recline positions to choose what is most safe and comfortable for your child. The bottom of the car seat has a bar which will move and show you if you are in the correct position for rear-facing and forward facing.
Make Sure You Install Your Car Seat Correctly
Did you know that 75% of car seats are installed and used incorrectly. It’s crazy but true. That’s one of the things I love so much about this car seat. The ClickTight Installation system takes the guess work out of installation so that you can be confident you are doing it right. Here is a great video to show you exactly how this carseat works.
I have used other car seats in the past. Expensive Car seats. And the installation process was such a pain. In fact I can remember a time when I needed to move my daughters car seat out of my car and into my husbands. I actually dreaded it so much that I debated whether I should just go buy a whole new seat for his car. Luckily now that we have the Britax Advocate ClickTight I don’t ever have to worry about that again.

The Britax Advocate ClickTight ARB Convertible car seat is everything I could every hope for in a car seat and more! It’s perfect and really puts my mind at ease when we are driving. My kids are my most precious cargo and I want the best when it comes to their safety.
