Boggy Creek Airboat Rides
Florida is a great place to take a vacation with your family because there is so much to do! Every time we visit the Kissimmee area it seems like we are always trying something new and setting off on a new adventure. My recent trip sent my family and I on a morning ride through the swamps of Kissimmee with Boggy Creek Airboat Rides.
When you first get to Boggy Creek you are greeted by a friendly staff eager to get you started on your ride. Before loading the boat your group will take a very funny picture which you will have the option to purchase if you would like. There is no pressure to buy anything, these services are there to add to the experience of your airboat ride. After your ride you will also get the chance to hold a baby alligator and have your picture taken as well. This was so much fun!
There are different airboat experiences that you can purchase but we had a large group so we did the scenic 30 minute tour and it was perfect. The boat was large enough to accommodate about 15 people comfortably. Every person is given a pair of headphones to protect your ears because the boat can get really loud! Also kids under 5 will need a life-jacket which is also provided before they get on the boat.
Looking For Alligators
We saw so many amazing things during our ride including a few alligators! The driver of the airboat was really good at spotting a gator from really far away and anytime he caught one he would stop the boat so everyone could see it and take photos.
One thing that I was really surprised to see was cattle walking through the swamps. Not just one or two cows. There were hundreds just roaming freely without a care in the world. I didn’t realize that the types of Alligators in the Florida swamps are typically ones that don’t eat cows. So that’s why they all roam freely.
The Airboat Ride was incredible
The whole boat ride was amazing! There are so many beautiful sites too see as your driving through the swamps. I think I probably snapped over a hundred pictures throughout the ride. Even if you don’t see an alligator, there is so much to see like birds, wild-life, and even landscaping.
Boggy Creek Airboat Rides have two different locations. Both are located in Kissimmee Florida. They are open 364 days a year from 9am to 6pm. You don’t need reservations for the scenic tour. But if your looking for something a little more adventurous, you can check out the night time tours which do require advance reservations. Adult ticket prices start at $26.95 and Kids start at $20.95. Keep your eyes out for brochures around town, which offer coupons to Boggy Creek.
My family and I had a fantastic time at Boggy Creek! It’s definitely something that I look forward to doing again in the future. For more information on Boggy Creek Airboat Rides you can visit them online at http://www.bcairboats.com.
