Making healthy choices is something that I really try hard to do each and everyday. I’ll be honest, up until I hit my late 20’s I didn’t really pay much attention to what I ate. If it looked good and tasted good, then I ate it. But years of drinking sugary soda’s and eating fatty foods took it’s toll and once I hit about 28 I really started to feel the effects of these unhealthy habits. At first I thought that changing my habits would be hard but really living healthy doesn’t have to be hard. It’s all about taking baby steps.
One of the easiest ways to kick old habits and replace them with healthier options is to find things that you like. Soda was one of the first things that I kicked to the curb. I love soda, I really do. But there are other options, more delicious options, out there that are just as good and so much better for your body.
To help you get started on finding beverages that will help you live better, Walmart is the place to go! They make it easy to locate and purchase drinks such as Snapple Straight Up Tea and Diet Peach, Vita Coco Pure, Fiji water, Neuro (Sonic, Bliss, Sleep, or Daily). You can find these items in the beverage section or next to many of the registers.
What I love most about all of these drinks is that they are lower in calories, taste great and I know that I am hydrating my body with good stuff. It’s a win-win. Whenever I feel like something sweet I head towards the Snapple Straight Up tea. Whenever I need a pick me up, Neuro is my go-to. And whenever I want a drink that will quench my thirst like no other, I grab a Fiji water.
Being healthy is so important. Even if you have lived an pretty unhealthy life, it’s never too late to start changing old habits. Remember take baby steps.
