The day is finally here! Today is the day that Ant-Man is finally released into theaters. I’ve been keeping my lips sealed for a couple of weeks now about my thoughts on the movie. You see I was able to get a sneak peek of Ant-Man last month and let me tell you it is AWESOME!
WARNING: Ant-Man Movie Spoilers
I know that when a lot of people heard that Paul Rudd was playing Ant-Man that they questioned whether he could pull off this kind of role. Paul is known as a comedic genius and playing a Marvel super hero was definitely something we hadn’t seen from him before. But I will tell you, he pulled this role off perfectly. I don’t think anyone else could have played Ant-Man as good as Paul Rudd did. This is a more serious role for him, but you will definitely see his comedic abilities come out throughout the film.
The effects in Ant-Man are pretty amazing. I would highly recommend seeing the movie in 3D. There is one particular part of the movie that really stands out to me as far as effects and that’s when Ant-Man is learning to become one with the ants. It’s not as easy as it may seem.
Don’t Underestimate the Antourage
A few days ago I posted my exclusive interview post with Michael Pena, T.I. and David Dastmalchian. These three guys are a pivotal role in the Ant-Man movie and bring it to a whole new level. And while Paul Rudd has his funny moments, these three guys stand out when it comes to comedy in this film. They are hilarious. One of my favorite parts of the whole film is when Michael Pena’s character is explaining how he got his entail about a “robbery” job. Just the way he explains it in such detail is really, really funny.
Is This Movie Ok for Kids?
The simple answer..yes! Of course every parent is in charge of determining what is appropriate for there kids, but I will say I will be bringing my kids to see Ant-Man. There are a few fighting scenes and a couple of curse words but really Ant-Man is one of the tamest Marvel films in my opinion.
STAY UNTIL THE END CREDITS OF ANT-MAN
I know it’s tempting to get up and beat the crowd, but trust me! You don’t ever want to leave the theater until the very end of the credits when you are watching a Marvel film. Now Ant-Man credits may be a little tricky. They do show a “special” scene half way through the credits, which may trick you into thinking that this is the special scene, but it’s not! You have to stay until the very end of the credits. Trust me, you don’t want to miss it. Especially if you are a Marvel fan.
GO SEE ANT-MAN!
You really do not want to miss this movie. It’s one of my favorite Marvel films to date not only because of the story line and the cast of the movie but because it’s just got a combination of funny, action, thrill and adventure.
Ant-Man opens everywhere in theaters today!
